Studio Classes

The waterfront studio at Portside Yoga is light and spacious for your yoga practice. All props will be provided except for yoga mats.

Classes will be offered daily in a variety of different styles and levels ranging from Accessible Yoga to Vinyasa Flow. All bodies are welcome whether this is your first time on the mat, or you are a seasoned yogi.

A variety of Yoga Flow classes to suit your energy and practice level. A gentle, soothing yoga flow to stretch your body, calm your mind, and soothe your soul. There is also an energetic power flow to ignite heat in our bodies for a physical and mental challenge. Some knowledge of basic yoga postures recommended. For Advanced Beginner Level and above please.

A beginner class to build knowledge of postures, awareness of breath, and strength of body in a slow foundational practice.  Poses will be studied with an awareness of alignment for physical safety, repetition and complementary moves to build strength, with introduction to breathwork to build a complete, whole yoga practice.

Explore yoga poses using blocks, straps, and a chair making them accessible to all. To ensure that everyone “finds their yoga”, a variety of options will be demonstrated so all experience the benefits of this beautiful practice. Yoga is for EVERY body. All Levels are welcome!

Yin Yoga is a
gentle but powerful practice, emphasizing passive long-held seated or reclined poses that target
the connective tissues in the body to increase range of motion, ease tension, and leave the
practitioner with a feeling of peace.

An "Old School" Stretch class for those of us who want and need it!

This class is great for those who are "yoga shy yet curious" A simple, effective way to begin connecting with your body and feel comfortable on your mat.

A Beginner friendly Hatha based practice with breath work and Meditation. This class will focus on opening and letting go to make space. A warmup sequence and a slow mindful repeating flow will follow focusing on the shoulders, spine, and hips which will mobilize and then release stored tension and energy enabling you to rest deeply. The Chakra system will be introduced with a slow paced unveiling of the characteristics and philosophy of these energetic centers.
